Bring Your Gift to Jesus!

Holiday seasons will come and go.  Some will celebrate during this time while others will mourn.  Keeping the "reason" for the season in perspective will remove the stress, heartache, and fears.  Psalm 30:5  says, "For his anger endures but a moment; in his favor is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."   Jesus is the author and the finisher of our faith.  He came to the world to seek and to save that which was lost.  He is our ultimate gift!  So while there may be some who will exchange gifts, let's be mindful that our lives are gifts, so give your gift to Jesus!

The Ministry of Angels Part 3

In summation of this 3-part series we've learned that Angels are NOT little, fat babies equipped  with bow and arrow ready to shoot a person in the butt to make them fall in love with us.   That's fiction!

According to the many accounts in the bible Angels are big, strong, warriors, sometimes appearing in human form other times in the form of man, fowl and beast.   We've learned that we are not to worship Angels because  Angels are messengers of God,

Angels are not God Isa. 14:12-14 .

We've learned that there are at least 9 different ranks of angels; Seraphim, Cherubim, Dominions, Virtues, Powers, Principalities, Archangels and Angels Messengers.  The different ranks among angels often outline their several and diverse assignments; whether they are to remain in the presence of God The Father to worship as some of the Cherubim  Matt. 18:10, Luke 1:19 ; or to inflict a righteous penalty for sin as some of the Seraphim Gen. 19 ; or to fight or defend Gen. 3:24 ; or reveal hidden things as Archangels Dan. 8:16, 9:21-22, 10:2-13,

Rev 12:7-9 ; or to deliver a message to mankind as Angel Messengers Luke 1:26-35

No matter their appearance, assignment or power, angels are NOT to be worshipped!

Rev. 22:8-9, Matt. 4:9-10 We've learned to acknowledge Angels for who they are as we let brotherly love continue Heb. 13:1-6 .

Repositioning Your Trust

God is the not the author of confusion, and He is not a man that He should lie.  The God we serve is not a magician or a genie in a bottle ready to grant our every wish, but He is the author and the finisher of our faith! God is the well that never runs dry and He is the water in the well springing up to everlasting life. He is the same God who spoke the universe into existence and the bible declares that the worlds were framed by His Word.  God is the same Word that will not return to Himself void!  He is that Word!  He is the Self-Existing One! My God! And we ought to trust in the manufacturer rather than the salesman or mechanic.

There is an urgency and mandate that we reposition our trust to be in alignment with the will of God for our lives.  The word reposition simply means to place in a different position; to adjust or alter the position of.  In other words, we must reposition the trust we placed in people, places and things such as family, friends and acquaintances, jobs, science, technology, government programs, money and the stock market and get our trust back on the Lord, the Rock of our salvation, the Creator and Sustainer of our lives!

Realize that repositioning is not comfortable, convenient and not always easy to do, but it is necessary.  Psalms 20:7 says, "Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the Lord our God."  Prov. 3:5-6 say, "Trust in the Lord with all thine hear; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."  Part of our problem is that we want God to be in control of our lives but we don't want to let go of the reigns.

Repositioning will require that we shift from park to drive, but this time let God take the wheel.

God can hear you.

Naomi's testimony of how the Lord answered her prayer.  "I prayed and asked the Lord for a scooter.  I never told my mom or dad about it but not long after that prayer I heard the Lord call my name.  I got up from my bed to answer Him and I just remember feeling really happy that day.  Well, it was that same day that I received my scooter."

Jer. 33:3 says, "Call unto me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things that you don't know of."

God has a great plan for your life.

Paulalmost died in the womb.  He was delivered by emergency C-section.  He was literally being strangled by his umbilical cord at each contraction. Paul says, "Because of God, I will grow up and I will have a wife, a good family and a nice house."

God is stronger than my circumstances.

Evangelist Rosaura Sanchez says, "I had knee pain and after praying and trying home remedies I finally went to see the doctor.  They ran tests and told me that I had cancer.  Breaking that news to my family was not easy because my mom died of cancer.  I took my situation before the Lord again in prayer and well, that was five years ago and I am here to testify that God is a Healer!  If you are facing sickness, and have tried everything, please try the Lord, I beg you, you will not be disappointed.  He is a healer and I am proof of it!"

If God is for us, Who can be against us?

Prophetess Stephanie Lawrence says, "To come against us, is to come against God.  He watches over his word to perform it.  When I got saved I became this scripture.  He saw me in my life and included me in His plan when I accepted his plan of salvation.  And now my whole life has changed.  The life I live now I live to the glory of God. It is no longer I but it is Christ. I became one with His Word. So if the life I live is no longer mine but Christ, there is nothing than can stand against me. No sickness, disease or anything else.  It has all been taken down by the one who Created, Restored and Healed me!"

Know God, Know Peace; No God, No Peace.

Pastor Ricky Lawrence says, "When you know God there is peace.  Knowing God and having a great relationship with him will give you peace because you won't have to second guess yourself.  Not knowing God will cause you to lack peace because Jesus is the Prince of Peace.  Not knowing God will also leave you unsure of which way to go in life.  You may receive answers but will be unsure if the answers are correct which can leave room for stress and worry about making the right decisions.  Knowing peace is knowing that God will always steer you in the right direction."
